Strawberry & Raspberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

* About 14 Raspberries
* About 20 Strawberries
* 1 Banana
* 7 fl oz Orange Juice
* About 10 ice cubes

Directions: Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth!

Serves: 2

Blueberry Smoothie

1 pint fresh blueberries or 2 cups (10-ounces) frozen blueberries
1 cup pineapple-orange-strawberry juice blend or pineapple-orange juice
1 (8-ounce) container low-fat vanilla yogurt
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
5 to 6 ice cubes

Place all ingredients, except the ice cubes in blender. Blend on high until smooth. With blender running, add 2 to 3 ice cubes at a time through the center opening in the lid until all ice cubes have been added. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Makes 2 servings.

Lemon Melon Smoothie

Ingredients:

* 1 1/2 cups diced melon
* 1/2 cup lemon yogurt
* 1 cup green grapes, frozen
* 1 tbs fresh mint, minced

Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until it is smooth. If you want a more tart taste, add a few drops of lemon juice.

Creamy Breakfast Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 large frozen banana – sliced/chopped
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp sugar
3-4 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Serve immediately!

Minty Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup unsweetened frozen or fresh strawberries
1 teaspoon coarsely chopped mint leaves
1/2 cup 100% orange juice
1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

Directions:

In blender, put the strawberries, mint leaves, orange juice and yogurt. Blend until smooth

A Berry Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 can (20 ounce size) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
1 can (16 1/2 ounce size) blueberries or blackberries in lite syrup, drained
1 1/2 cup ice cubes
1 carton (6 ounce size) lemon or other fruit-flavored low-fat yogurt

Directions: blender container, combine all ingredients; process until smooth. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Tropical Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
1 ripe banana, sliced
1 cup milk
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

Directions:

Combine pineapple, banana, milk and blueberries in blender or food processor container.
Cover and blend until thick and smooth. Serve immediately.

Banana Nut Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 banana, frozen
1 cup Dannon® All Natural Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. honey (optional)
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions:

1. Cut the frozen banana into 3 or 4 chunks and peel. Place in blender with Dannon® All Natural Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt, walnuts, cinnamon and honey (optional).

2. Blend on high for 2 minutes or until smooth. Pour into glass and top with a dusting of ground nutmeg.

Yield: 1 serving

A Fruity Smoothie Tip

Want to make creamy fruit smoothies? Don’t use ice cubes, instead freeze whatever fruit you are going to use. Doing this will create a much richer and creamier tasting smoothie then if made with ice.

Banana-Mango Smoothie

Ingredients:

3 medium bananas (about 1 lb.)
2 mangoes
1/4 cup apple juice or unsweetened coconut milk
1 tablespoon honey
1 cup ice cubes

Directions:

Chill the bananas and mangoes in the refrigerator for 1 hour prior. Peel and slice bananas and mangoes and place in blender. Add apple juice or coconut milk and honey. Cover and blend until smooth. With blender running, add ice cubes, one at a time, through opening in lid. Blend until smooth.

Servings: 4 (8oz)
